Soil preparation for planting
Planting Roses - a very important process that requires special attention and respect certain rules. For planting roses should choose areas are well lit and ventilated, as in enclosed areas rose strongly affected with powdery mildew, and in the shady little or no bloom. Most roses are suitable for planting south or south-western slopes, protected by hedges, fences, planting trees or buildings on the north-east winds. Of course, this protection should be at some distance from the landing. It is desirable that areas under the land were flat or slight incline (15 °). Steep slopes should be terraced previously. |
Very effective planting roses in loamy, rich in organic matter and moderately heavy loam soil with good drainage.
When planting on light, sandy, and heavy, dense and slate soils they need to be preconditioned by making pereprevshy cow dung (2 parts) and clay (1 part by volume).
Subject farming planting roses is possible on any soil, but must first hold its preparation, or can not be achieved abundant blooms and brightly colored flowers.
If the soil is wet, it should take all measures to preserve it, and if it is not enough, we must apply timely watering.
The preparation of the soil during fall planting begin approximately one month before planting roses, and when spring planting preparations carried out in the fall. Soil preparation is plowing to a depth of 60-70 cm with simultaneous application of organic fertilizer at the rate of 60-80 tonnes per hectare.
In the southern regions of the autumn planting roses is usually made from November to late December, Spring - February to April. In southern Ukraine, in particular in the northern regions of the Crimea, where roses are suffering from the cold, they are planted in early spring, as soon bypassed spring frosts. In frosty or wet weather planting roses is not allowed. It is best to postpone this work until the onset of more favorable conditions.
If you received a parcel with the seedlings for planting roses, and the weather does not permit to do this, leave the seedlings in bundles of roses, protected from frost. It is best to unpack them and temporarily prikopat into a ditch in a secure location, carefully concealing the roots moist loose soil layer of 20 - 25 cm then the earth must be compacted to between the roots had no air voids. Top seedlings sprinkle a layer of loose earth. In this form, you can save up to landing.
If you have dried on the road sprouts, immerse them in one day in the water, and then bury completely to a depth of 20-25 cm in the wet sand or soil in the shading position for a week, after which they will be suitable for planting.
